REFER TO OUR AFFILIATES
1. We come to your office.
This is our recommended approach for the high volume client.
      It maximizes your practice efficiency.
It optimizes patient outcomes, with faster recovery and fewer complications.
Scheduling with us is easy, not like at the hospital or ASC.
We are much less expensive for your patients.

2. You refer to one of our affiliated dentists.
This is the perfect solution for your infrequent case.
You can practice within your surgical comfort zone.
We protect your practice and patient relationships.

WHY OFFICE BASED DENTAL ANESTHESIA WINS FOR DENTISTS AND FAMILIES

Picture
A familiar environment makes everyone more comfortable.
It is less stressful for you, your young patients, and their parents.
You are much more efficient and less distracted working in your own office.
You can avoid the added commuting and packing time of going back and forth to the hospital.

We provide VIP treatment for you and your patient's family.
We perform one case at a time. You always have our undivided attention.
Our MD anesthesiologist is with you throughout the procedure. We don't substitute nurses for doctors.
We provide one on one pediatric nursing during recovery.

We help deal with medical insurance companies. We can help your patients.
We will help them understand their benefits including co pays, family and individual deductibles.
We obtain authorization or pre-certification for all anesthesia procedures.
We can help them get reimbursed for eligible out of pocket costs.
If needed, we can set up a payment plan through Care Credit or an equivalent service.

Dental offices are designed for children and for dentistry. Surgical suites are not.
You can use a pediatric dental chair and equipment. The recovery suite is designed exclusively for children.
Imaging equipment is set for safer, lower doses.
We bring specialized, pediatric anesthesia equipment.
You office offers easy facility access, with a family friendly waiting room and free parking.

Why not the Hospital?

It greatly increases procedure cost.
Facility fees are hundreds to thousands of dollars.
    Hospital anesthesia is expensive.
Hospital cases take longer and patients are charged by the minute.
As out of pocket costs go up, so do patient cancellations.
You will be operating in an unfamiliar setting with temporary staff.
    Surgical time is longer.
    Patient recovery time is longer.
Slow operating room turnover wastes everyone's time.
There is a greater risk of complications.
Anesthesiologists may cover up to 4 cases at once.
Divided attention can lead to mistakes.
They may cover both adults and children.
Staff may not be pediatric specialists.
They may leave your patient in the OR with a nurse.
Hospital setting increases the risk of an antibiotic resistant infection.
Scheduling is challenging and the hospital often runs behind.

What about a Surgery Center?

Surgery centers are Hospital-Lite.
They are still very costly. Facility fees can be hundreds to thousands of dollars. Travel time is wasted time for you and your practice.
Rarely are such centers specialized in dentistry and dental anesthesia.
Services offered often range from orthopedics to plastic surgery. You compete for OR time and surgery center attention with these other providers. Surgeons who bring more cases get to dictate the schedule and staffing.
Surgery centers survive on volume.
Anesthesiologist may have to cover up to 4 cases at once, and their divided attention can lead to mistakes. The care team may be covering both adults and children simultaneously. Team members may not all specialize in pediatrics.
You are still operating in an unfamiliar setting, with temporary staff, similar to the hospital operating room.

What is Office Based General Anesthesia?

There are many options for preventing and treating pain during dental procedures. These range from local numbing medications like Lidocaine, to oral sedatives such as Valium, to inhaled drugs like Nitrous Oxide. Many of these are safely administered by dentists, but are not be suitable for all patients. For more comprehensive pain prevention, to ensure complete patient cooperation, or for safe treatment of a young child, more is needed. We are medical doctors specialized in putting children to sleep for surgical procedures, especially in the office setting.
